Product Description
Without doubt, the SpaceProbe 130 Newtonian strikes a classy pose, from its glossy black aluminum tube right down to its 6x30 finder scope. It's a telescope that's sure to attract serious beginners. But a great telescope is more than how it looks - it's how it looks at the stars, and here the SpaceProbe 130 provides great all-around viewing performance. This scope's 130mm (5.1") primary mirror gathers enough light for deep-sky observing while its 900mm focal length (f/6.9) provides the resolving power need to reveal subtle planetary features. With the two fully coated Explorer II eyepieces provided (25mm and 10mm) you can cruise the Orion Nebula or zoom in on the rings of Saturn. The mount is our sturdy EQ-2 equatorial model, with aluminum tripod and accessory tray. Slow-motion controls allow fine manual pointing of the telescope. Addition of an optional EQ-2M or AstroTrack electronic drive enables the telescope to track objects automatically. One-year lim... More >>

This telescope is the best telescope for beginners! It’s aperture (the daiemeter of the mirrors) is 130mm (5.1 inches). Some telescopes (like Bushnell 675 X 4.5) are pricer and worser! With this scope, you can view Jupiter’s bands (and occasally the Great Red Spot), zoom on the rings of Saturn, while exploring the Orion Nubluea, star clusters, and MUCH,MUCH MORE! I’m planning to get it next June!

Very good quality reflector telescope that is easy to assemble, adjust, and use. The motor drive is a must buy to enjoy this telescope. Now all you need is a clear sky.

My children and I bought this for my husband who was very excited in receiving it. The instuctions stated that it would take 30 min. to put together. This has not turned out as stated. It took a long time just to be able to identify the different pieces. The directions neglected to name each item, and since we are new at this and not familiar with everything it took some guess work. Then my husband found that the instructions stated one thing but the picture showed something else. A telephone call to the company helped. After continuing to install some more of the pieces he found that one of them was incorrect. Again another call to the company who then was to send the correct part. After waiting for delivery we found they had sent the wrong size part. Another call etc. he finally when to a store to try and puchase the part that was the correct size. We still have not competed putting it together. Hopefully when time permits, all will go smoothly. We Hope!

This is a wonderful telescope that my husband and I enjoy very much. It is fairly easy to operate with a little bit of prep time. I would recomend it to those who have an interest in the stars. It did take over an hour to put together the first time but that may be more to us not knowing what we were doing.
